Pangkalpinang (ANTARA) - The President of the Republic of Indonesia, Joko Widodo (Jokowi), will inaugurate Depati Amir Airport in Pangkalpinang City, and Tanjung Kelayang Special Economic Zone, Bangka Belitung (Babel) Islands Province, on Thursday (March 14).

"Jokowi’s working visit to the Babel Islands Province has been positive, after a meeting with the state secretary," Regional Secretary of the Babylonian Islands, Yan Megawandi, stated in Pangkalpinang on Tuesday.

He noted that after the meeting at the Office of the Secretary of the Republic of Indonesia in Jakarta at 11.00 WIB on Tuesday (12/3), he will be accompanied by First Lady Iriana on Thursday (March 14) and Friday (March 315) to attend various activities, including the inauguration of the Depati Amir Airport in Pangkalpinang, and Tanjung Kelayang Tourism KEK.



On Friday (March 15), Jokowi and his entourage will review the Pangkalpinang Development Market and hand over land certificates at GOR Sahabudin, Pangkalpinang City.

Jokowi will also visit Bangka District to monitor the location of Sungailiat SEZ candidates. At 3:00 p.m. on Friday (3/15), he will take off from Depati Amir Pangkalpinang Airport to Kuala Namo Airport.

"The agenda of the president's working visit is still tentative, but the certainty of working visits to Babylon is positive," he added.

Megawandi remarked that the meeting during Jokowi's two-day working visit to Bangka Belitung will be attended by the Secretary of the Babel Islands Province and local authorities.
