"Our hope is to appear as it is (that is) to convey that the debate is an opportunity to voice and (find) solutions for the community and provide understanding that the Prabowo-Uno team will make changes for Indonesia, so that people who have not madPekalongan (ANTARA) - Candidate for Vice President Number 02, Sandiaga Salahudin Uno, stated that he would appear at the third presidential debate, which will be held on March 17, 2019, to address health, education, employment, and socio-cultural issues.
"Our hope is to appear as it is (that is) to convey that the debate is an opportunity to voice and (find) solutions for the community and provide understanding that the Prabowo-Uno team will make changes for Indonesia, so that people who have not made a choice can make a solid choice," Uno stated in Pekalongan on Thursday.
After the program "Halaqoh K2 Aswaja Community of Ahlusunah Waljamaah Towards Indonesia Wins, Fair, and Prosperous," Uno noted that he was entrusted by the cleric, so that the presidential candidate pair Prabowo-Uno presented a fair and prosperous Indonesia, especially on employment opportunities.
Jobs should be given to local workers, he stated; however, (in fact, on the contrary), they are given conveniently to foreign workers.
"Therefore, we are committed, if given a mandate, to revise the Presidential Regulation, which provides a lot of convenience to foreign workers. We will present incentives for companies that employ local workers." he added.
According to him, employment should be given to Indonesian children and local children.
"Indonesian sons and daughters must be given opportunities and defended, so that our workers are not sent abroad and our domestic works are not given to foreign workers," he remarked.
Uno advised (within the time left) that for 30 more days it was hoped that Prabowo-Uno's supporters would always remain harmonious and peaceful by continuing to carry out the pilgrimage.
"Let's optimize the effort to not be divided, keep cool, and respect the differences. The difference is one, namely the choice on April 17, 2019, but there are many similarities," he said.
Regarding the emergence of national issues, Uno reminded his supporters not to be divided and to maintain national unity.
"We make sure not to be divisive. In the halaqoh program, Prabowo-Uno pair has been asked to keep guard," he revealed.
He added that he would continue to glorify and respect the rival Vice-President candidate Number 01, Ma’ruf Amin, at the third debate later.
