Kalla and entourage departed from Halim Perdanakusuma Air Force Base in Jakarta at 07:45 a.m. by Special Presidential Plane BAe RJ 85.
While in Bandung, Kalla will attend the inauguration of Pikiran Rakyat Television Station at Savoi Homann Hotel and a national gathering at Honson Hotel.
The vice president's entourage included chief of the vice president's expert team Sofyan Wanandi, member of the expert team M. Ikhsan, the vice president's deputy secretary for human development and equitable distribution of development gains Bambang Widianto, and the vice president's special staff for economy and finance Wijayanto Samirin.
The vice president is slated to return to Jakarta on Sunday afternoon.
