The third presidential debate highlighting the educational, health, human resources, social and cultural issues was held here on Sunday evening.
"Our vision is to build a well developed Indonesia, in which the main key lies in the healthy, intelligent, productive and noble Indonesian people," said vice presidential candidate Ma'ruf Amin, Joko Widodo's presidential election partner.
Regarding the health issues, Ma'ruf said that if he and Joko Widodo were elected, the government would continue providing services of national health insurance.
In the field of education, Ma'ruf stated that the government will provide more scholarships and will provide it up to the college level.
"For the youths, you do not have to be afraid pf having a dream, and the parents do not need to worry about the future of their children," he remarked.
Meanwhile, Vice Presidential candidate Sandiaga Uno stated that if he and Prabowo Subianto received the people's mandate on April 17, 2019, they would make an endeavor to improve the quality of national education. One of the strategies that they would apply was improving the curriculum and changing the current general national examination system into a vocational system to accommodate students' different interests and talents.
"We will create employment system that is connected to education system," Uno said.
Regarding the issue of health care, Uno promised to overcome the existing problems in the current national healthcare system and improve the quality of health services in the country. ***2***
