On the 21st anniversary of SOEs, SOEs Minister Rini Soemarno stated that these enterprises should not participate in political activities.
"SOEs must not participate in politics; they must be professional," said Soemarno during an interview with one of the national private television stations in Jakarta on Monday night.
Rini said that the anniversary of the SOEs was on April 13, which also turned out to be the last day of the election campaign.
"I did not campaign, I did not participate in incumbent President Joko Widodo's national campaign team because the president has stressed that SOEs must be truly professional," she said.
The Ministry of SOEs will hold a series of social activities and interesting programs from March-April 2019 to celebrate their birthday on April 13. According to Rini, this big celebration in commemoration of the 21st anniversary is because she wants to show her appreciation to the SOE family.
The anniversary of the Ministry of SOEs will consist of the launch of the LinkAja application, the "cash for work" program, BUMN (SOEs) Goes to Campus, and Healthy Walk in five cities.
The series of events will also be enlivened by the Islamic Nextgen, Retail and Online Promos, one million Cheap Food Packages, biodiesel cheap packages for fishermen, and the #senindiongkosin program for Bekasi residents.
In addition, the SOEs will also hold a creative class that will be attended by six thousand participants and open a certified student internship program for 10 thousand participants, and open 11 thousand job vacancies where 1,000 of them will be for persons with disabilities.
"We want to always be present for the entire community, both through the development of business scale and social activities aimed at educating and improving the welfare of the people in various regions of the country," said State Ministry Secretary Imam Apriyanto Putro in Jakarta some time ago.
