UHAMKA forges educational cooperation with Uzbek state universities

Jakarta (ANTARA) - Muhammadiyah University of Prof. Dr. Hamka (UHAMKA) has initiated educational cooperation with Uzbekistan's Taskent State of Economic University, Bukhara State University, and Silkroad University.

UHAMKA Rector Prof. Gunawan Suryoputro, Bukhara State University Rector Dr Khamidov Obidjon, Taksken State of Economic University Rector Xodiev Baxodir Yunusovich, and Silkroad International University of Tourism Rector Prof. Dr Bahodir Turaev inked a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on educational cooperation, noted a statement received in Jakarta, Wednesday.

Head of the Institute of Higher Education Service (LLDIKTI) III region of Jakarta Dr Illah Sailah led the visit to Taskent, Uzbekistan, on Apr 19-24, aimed at intensifying cooperation in the field of education, specifically in research and publication. The cooperation encompasses study for lectures, exchange of students, collaborative research, conference, and publication.

"UHAMKA has formed its international cooperation network by establishing this cooperation with the three state universities," Prof. Suryoputro remarked.

Moreover, UHAMKA has forged collaboration with some foreign universities in regions in Australia and Europe to boost and enhance academic quality, research, and international publications, he pointed out.
