Usually, after attending to the kiai or figures who are still there, they make a pilgrimage to the figure who is aSurabaya (ANTARA) - Vice presidential candidate KH Ma'ruf Amin, who is also the mustasyar (adviser) of the central executive board of the Islamic organization Nahdlatul Ulama (NU) visited the tomb of Sunan Ampel in Surabaya, East Java, on Sunday.
During the visit, Kiai Ma'ruf who was accompanied by Habib Ahmad bin Idrus Al-Habsyi received enthusiastic reception from residents and tomb pilgrims of Raden Rahmatullah or Sunan Ampel.
"Pilgrimage and haul are the traditions of the NU people to remember and emulate the struggles of parents, elders, and respected figures. I and thousands of Muslims made pilgrimages to the Sunan Ampel pesarean. He is a pioneer of pesantren (Islamic boarding school) preaching in the archipelago," said Ma'ruf.
Chairperson of the C19 Master Trustees Gus Syauqi Ma'ruf along with the Director of the C 19 Master and the KMA Portal volunteers in East Java also accompanied the pilgrimage of Ma'ruf.

Before the pilgrimage, Kiai Ma'ruf attended the National Silaturahim which was held by the East Java Nahdlatul Ulama (PWNU) Management.
In the meeting entitled "From East Java Knitting Indonesian Unity", Kiai Ma'ruf invited all parties to reunite after the election.
Kiai Ma'ruf admitted that there was a division of society due to differences in support, especially in the presidential election. Some even think the presidential election seems to be a life problem.
