"The suspected perpetrator is being hunted down," said Commander of the Baturaja Military's Sub-Detachment for Military Police II / 4-4 CPM Captain Gatot Udiyono here on Sunday.

He said DP was a cadet of Vocational Education for Infantry in the Sriwijaya Regional Military Command's Main Regiment who deserted. He was alleged to be one of the perpetrators of mutilation Vera Oktaria, an Indomaret cashier who was found dead at the lodging area of Musi Banyuasin District.

"We are still hunting DP after the DP has run away from the Sriwijaya Regional Military Command's Combat Education and Training Depot since May 4, 2019," he said.

According to him, they had proliferated DP's photos to public to enable him to get arrested immediately.
