We will pursue it to the edge of the earthJakarta (ANTARA) - Former chairman of the People's Consultative Assembly Amien Rais visited the crowd who were giving speeches in front of the Indonesian Election Supervisory Body (Bawaslu) building here Wednesday.
"Inna lillahi wa inna ilaihi rojiun, our seven mujahids (men who earnestly struggle for the sake of Allah) have been summoned by Allah (Almight God) and there are still 200 who are lying in the hospital," Amien Rais said while attending the crowd in front of the Bawaslu building.
He said that the riots in Jakarta damaged the comfort of democracy of the Indonesian people.
"Hopefully the shooter was not an official from the National Police. We will pursue it to the edge of the earth," he said.
Amien emphasized that justice will always side with the people who defend the truth and reject fraud.
"I believe the people are always winners," he said.
He believes that there will be no more violence, destruction of buildings and grass that is trampled if the police can provide more space to the masses.
"I appeal to the authorities to be a unity for the Indonesian people," he said.
