Jakarta (ANTARA) -
The National Police Headquarters has reported that an arms supplier for the riots on May 22, 2019 was a woman, identified as AF, alias Fifi, a resident of Rajawali, Pancoran, South Jakarta.

Head of the Police Public Relations Division, Inspector General Mohammad Iqbal, told a press conference on Monday at the Coordinating Ministry for Politics, Law and Security in Jakarta that a woman is a suspect, along with five others, known as HK alias Iwan, AZ, IR, TJ, and AD.

Of all the suspects, four of them, HK, AZ, IR, and TJ, participated in the riots on May 22 and planned to kill four national figures. The other two suspects are suppliers and sellers of firearms, namely AD and AF.

The role of Af, said Iqbal, was as a supplier or seller of 38 caliber Taurus revolvers.

"(She) is the owner and seller of the illegal Taurus revolver to HK. This is a woman," Iqbal said.

AF received proceeds of Rp50 million. Police arrested AF on Friday (May 24, 2019) at BRI Bank, Jalan Thamrin, Central Jakarta.

A revolver has a rotating cylinder containing a bullet chamber.

This cylinder contains five to nine bullets, according to the size of the revolver and the type of bullet used. After being fired, depending on the mechanism, the cylinder can rotate immediately, or it must be rotated manually by pulling the hammer using the thumb.

Compared to automatic pistols, the operation of the revolver is easier and sometimes more reliable, given its simple mechanism.

The revolver, a Taurus 38 Special, is a handheld weapon made in Brazil in 2000 that has a special 4 inch barrel and 38 caliber length, with an effective firing range of 50 meters. This weapon is capable of firing 220 rounds of bullets per minute, with a range reaching 200 meters.
