Semarang, C Java (ANTARA) - Several homecoming travelers participated in a ceremony to celebrate Pancasila Day, June 1, as the birthday of the state ideology, held by the Central Java provincial government in the Central Java Governor's office courtyard, Saturday.

The several dozen travelers, who took part in the Pancasila Day ceremony, were participants of the free homecoming program to several regions outside Central Java Province held by PT Jasa Raharja, Central Java Branch.

In addition to these participants of the free homecoming program and the state civil apparatus (ASN), three staff members of the Ministry of Home Affairs also attended the Pancasila Day ceremony.

Central Java Provincial Secretary Sri Puryono confirmed that several travelers had attended the ceremony to observe Pancasila Day at the governor's office.

"The ceremony was attended by friends looking to go home, including from Forkopimda, and friends passing through Semarang, who did not have time to participate in the ceremony at their place of origin," he revealed.

The secretary noted that the three staff members of the Ministry of Home Affairs had handed a notification letter following the Pancasila Day ceremony in Semarang.

The regional secretary affirmed that it was high time that Pancasila was no longer discussed but practiced and applied in day-to-day life.

"Pancasila has been the unifying force of the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia amid its pluralism," he added.
