Jakarta (ANTARA) -
Indonesia's Defense Minister Ryamizard Ryacudu has not received a letter regarding accusations of treason by Kivlan Zein.

"I have not read a letter", said Ryamizad at the Defence Ministry Office here on Wednesday.

"I will call the Head of my Legal Bureau to discuss what should be done. If the opinion says this is good, I will do it, but if not, I will not do it," he said.

Previously, the lawyer for the former Chief of the Army Strategic Reserve Command Maj. Gen. (Ret.) Kivlan Zen, Muhammad Yuntri, said his client sent a letter to the Minister of Defense Ryamizard Ryacudu to request protection from alleged treason charges.

He said Kivlan's letter requesting protection was filed on Wednesday (June 12) and was still awaiting the Defense Minister's response.
