"The data sourced on the KPU's online data tabulation center cannot be used to assess the validity of votes," Isra said at the Constitutional Court Thursday.
Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Judge of the Constitutional Court (MK), Saldi Isra rejected the claims of the Prabowo-Sandiaga Uno's legal team regarding unofficial polling stations. Prabowo-Sandiaga Uno's legal team discovered 2,984 unofficial polling stations, with around 895,200 unofficial votes by comparing the number of polling stations through the General Election Commission Decree number 860 / PL.02.1-KPT / 01 / KPU / IV / 2019 which numbered 810,352, with data in Situng, the General Elections Commission (KPU)'s online data tabulation center, of 813,336 polling stations.

"The data sourced on the KPU's online data tabulation center cannot be used to assess the validity of votes," Isra said at the Constitutional Court Thursday.

In addition, the data could not necessarily be used as a basis for indicating that fraud had occurred, Isra stated.

Based on that argument, no one could assume that the existence of additional polling stations and the voters in the unofficial polling station supported one of the candidate pairs.

On the contrary, the data proved the number of polling stations throughout Indonesia and did not elaborate further on the unofficial polling stations, the judge said.

Earlier on Wednesday, the Indonesian Council of Ulemas (MUI) has called on all elements in the nation, especially Muslims, to accept the Constitutional Court's ruling on the presidential election result dispute, scheduled to be declared Thursday.

"The MUI appeals to the people, at large, to accept the court's ruling wholeheartedly and sincerely, as it is final and binding," the council's Deputy Chairman, Zainut Tauhid Saadi, told journalists.

The MK's spokesman Fajar Laksono had earlier noted that the court's nine judges would deliver their final decision Thursday or a day earlier than June 28, set for announcing the ruling.

The MK has perused facts from both camps during a week-long hearing on the presidential election dispute held since Friday (June 14), and a Consultative Meeting of Judges (RPH) had been underway since June 23 to seek the opinions of all judges, he revealed. (INE)
