Karawang (ANTARA) - By the end of June 2019, 86 percent of the construction work of the Jakarta-Cikampek II Flyover Toll Road would be completed, PT Jasa Marga has stated.

The total construction of the 36.40-kilometer flyover toll road will be completed by the end of September 2019, PT Jasa Marga's President Director of the Cikampek Elevated Toll Road, Djoko Dwijono, said Friday.

"So, the physical work has reached 86 percent and the construction is targeted to be completed by the end of September 2019. The next step is to conduct a proper function test and proper operation," he said, in a press release received in Cikampek, West Java.

As part of the construction of the Jakarta-Cikampek II of the Elevated Toll Road, there are 139 "steel box girders" which are yet to be installed, he said.

What is still required in the construction is the work of installing 2,585 steel box girders.

The installation of the steel box girders is carried out every day, between 10:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m, according to him.

His party always coordinated with various other parties who were implementing projects around the Jakarta-Cikampek Flyover Toll Road such as the Jakarta-East Bekasi LRT, Jakarta-Bandung Fast Train, and Cibitung-Cilincing Toll Road, he stated.

Coordination is necessary so that the construction of projects around the Jakarta-Cikampek Flyover Toll Road does not become a hindrance for others.

The Layang Jakarta-Cikampek II Elevated Toll Road project extends from the Cikunir to Karawang Barat section.

Later, this toll will road serve to reduce the density of traffic along the Jakarta-Cikampek Toll Road.
