Manggala Agni fire-fighting brigades in North Sumatra, Riau, Riau Islands, Jambi, South Sumatra, West Kalimantan, and Central Kalimantan, in addition to South Kalimantan, East Kalimantan, South Sulawesi, Southeast Sulawesi, and North Sulawesi routinely conduct daily patrols in an effort to prevent and control forest and land fires.
The company is also involved in forest fire control efforts in accordance with Minister of Environment and Forestry Regulation Number 32 of 2016.
Regional and village governments have also used Village Funds, Forestry Natural Resources Revenue Sharing Funds, and reforestation funds to support karhutla control efforts, Raffles said.

All relevant ministries and institutions carry out their duties related to controlling forest and land fires in accordance with their respective fields.
The Coordinating Ministry for Economic Affairs works on prevention activities while the Coordinating Ministry for Political, Legal, and Security Affairs coordinates countermeasures and recovery efforts with the help of the Coordinating Ministry for Human Development and Culture.
