"We are attempting to help facilitate her to communicate with various institutions so that we can find the best possible solution," Moeldoko remarked after a closed-door meeting with Ismael here on Thursday.
Ismael has cleared the enrollment test of CPNS, but it was annulled by the South Solok district administration in West Sumatra on grounds that she is physically unfit.
Ismael has been wheelchair-bound since 2016 when she began suffering from weak lower legs after the delivery of her second child.
On March 18, the South Solok district head issued a notification that annulled the result of the enrollment test for two applicants, including Ismael, owing to health issues.
Moeldoko pointed to a different perception existing on the requisites for CPNS, particularly on the requirement to be physically and mentally fit, that disabled applicants should not be subjected to.
"This is since the law on disabled persons is quite clear. It paves the way for disabled persons to get their rights," he added.
Ismael has lauded the government's response to her case to honor the rights of disabled persons.
"Alhamdulillah (Thank God), this is incredible. I (Romi) am here to get justice for Ami and the family, especially for my kids and husband. I hope to be able to reclaim my rights," she stated.
She is also optimistic that the Solok district administration would assist in recovering her rights as CPNS.
