It can be said that China-Indonesia relations are at the best historical juncture.Kupang, E Nusa Tenggara (ANTARA) - Chinese investment in Indonesia touched US$2.3 billion in the first half of 2019, constituting 16.2 percent of the total foreign investment in Indonesia, consul of the Chinese Consulate General in Denpasar, Bali, Gou Haodong stated.
"Since (early) this year, the China-Indonesia cooperation has yielded significant results in the field of investment," Haodong stated in Kupang, the capital of East Nusa Tenggara Province, on Saturday.
He made the remarks during the opening of the 4th investment forum of the provinces of East Nusa Tenggara, West Nusa Tenggara, and Bali that are the working territory of the Chinese Consulate General in Denpasar.
Through its investment, China stood third among foreign investors in Indonesia.

"This year, President Joko Widodo was re-elected. It can be said that China-Indonesia relations are at the best historical juncture," he affirmed.
Haodong pointed to the steadily improving bilateral relations between China and Indonesia in the past few years.
"The mutually beneficial cooperation continues to deepen. The two countries continued to boost synergy in (the realization of) China's Maritime Silk Road in the 21st century, and the concept of Indonesia's world maritime axis," he stated.
These relations have boosted bilateral investment and expanded comprehensive cooperation in the fields of agriculture, trade, e-commerce, finance, and energy, among others.
The investment forum was attended by 20 Chinese investors and tens of Indonesian entrepreneurs from the three provinces.
