"Four people surrendered, while the police took firm and measurable measures against the two others since they attempted to evade arrest by using sharp weapon and airsoft gun resulting in injury to a member of Densus 88," he noted.
The four other suspects were arrested in Banten, three in Jakarta, nine in Central Java, six in West Java, and one suspect in East Kalimantan.
Prasetyo noted that 20 of the 23 suspects arrested in Medan were being interrogated, while two suspects were killed while evading arrest.
The suicide bomber, believed to be a 24-year-old male, identified by his initials as RMN, blew himself up at the Medan City Police Station on Wednesday, November 13, resulting in injuries to six people, though no fatalities were reported.
Shortly after the incident, the police searched the suspect’s house and questioned his wife and her parents. The police officers confiscated some pieces of evidence, including two green baskets containing dozens of arrows, a pole, and some documents.
