We still have a chance to gain scores at tomorrow's match against ThailandManila (ANTARA) - The women's soccer team of Indonesia eyes victory against Thailand in an elimination round of the 2019 Southeast Asia (SEA) Games at Binan Stadium, Manila, Monday, Rully Nere, the team's coach said here on Sunday.
"We still have a chance to gain scores at tomorrow's match against Thailand. So, we must win, but it will be in the hands of the players," he stated.
Despite of six scores defeat against Vietnam on Nov 29, Nere remains confident that the women's soccer team will collect scores at tomorrow's match.
He explained in the next match, the women's soccer team must focus on the game, to avoid any unnecessary mistakes. "At the previous game, Vietnam scored three goals because of our poor performance. Our players must be able to cope up with the match's pressure," he remarked.
Therefore, he expected more counter-attacks launched by the Indonesian players in the next game against Thailand.
Indonesia's women soccer team is under the Group B with Vietnam and Thailand. Meanwhile, the Philippines, Myanmar, and Malaysia are in Group A of women's soccer matches during the 2019 SEA Games.
