Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has continued to intensively grill Wahyu Setiawan, commissioner of the General Election Commission (KPU), who was arrested on Wednesday.

"He is still being examined until now. The KPK has 24 hours to elucidate the activities of the arrest, including (whether he had) received money," Deputy KPK Chairman Alexander Marwata noted at the KPK building here on Wednesday.

He also remarked that Setiawan was arrested along with three other people. However, he could not as yet reveal whether the three included politicians.

"I just received information that four people have been detained. One of them is WS (Wahyu Setiawan) and whether the others include politicians, I do not know, and neither am I aware of their names. I have not received the information," Marwata remarked.

He also claimed to not know in connection with which case Setiawan was arrested by the agency.

"The details will be available tomorrow. I myself have not received detailed information today since it is still being examined," he noted.

Earlier, KPU Chair Arief Budiman had visited the KPK building, Jakarta, Wednesday, to obtain further information on Setiawan's arrest.

He confirmed that his office had only received information from the KPK that Setiawan was being grilled.

"Hence, today, we just receive information that it is true that WS is being questioned," Arief added. Related news: Election comission asks elected legislators to submit wealth reports
