Jakarta (ANTARA) - The West Jakarta Metropolitan Police released three friends of Lucinta Luna, a transgender celebrity arrested during a police's drug raid at an apartment in Central Jakarta, early Tuesday, since they were not found consuming drugs.

The trio were identified by their initials as GD (35), NHAM (22), and DAA (35). They were freed after the police investigators grilled them as witnesses for the Lucinta Luna drug case, according to Jakarta Metropolitan Police spokesman Sen. Coms. Yusri Yunus.

Yunus was quoted by ANTARA here on Friday as confirming that the three witnesses had tested negative for consuming drugs, while Lucinta Luna had tested positive for the use of psychotropic substance "benzodiazepam".

Lucinta Luna is currently under detention at the Jakarta Metropolitan Police's jail for drug offences though can be brought to the West Jakarta Metropolitan Police precinct for questioning at any time.

In connection with the case, the Jakarta Metropolitan Police are still investigating a drug ring that supplied psychotropic drugs to Lucinta Luna.

"This case remains under police investigation. Yesterday, a suspect, identified by her initials as IF alias FLO, had been apprehended," Yunus stated on Thursday.

The police investigators are yet focusing on IF's drug ring and several people suspected of being involved in the Luna case, he remarked, adding that the new development into this drug offence will be made public on Friday.

Based on Luna's confession, IF alias FLO, the owner of a beauty salon in South Jakarta, was arrested in South Jakarta for allegedly selling psychotropic drugs, Yunus remarked.

The drug raid conducted by the police on early Tuesday resulted in the arrest of Luna, 30, who was born as Muhammad Fatah, and seizure of two ecstasy pills as well as seven and five pills, respectively, of psychotropic drugs called "riklona" and "tramadol".

The police investigators charged Luna under Law No. 35 of 2009 on Narcotics and Law No. 5 of 1997 on Psychotropic Substances for which she is subject to five years’ imprisonment. Indonesia's world of entertainment remains vulnerable to drugs as apparently revealed by the arrests of Luna and several other entertainers.

Over the past three years, in addition to Luna, several other entertainers apprehended for drug offences are Ammar Zoni, Rio Reifan, Roro Fitria, Fachri Albar, Fariz RM, Jennifer Dunn, Steve Emmanuel, Zul Zivilia, Jefri Nichol, Tri Retno Prayudati alias Nunung Srimulat, and Nanie Darham.
