Sukabumi (ANTARA) - Vice President Ma'ruf Amin paid a visit to an area in the COVID-19 transmission zone in Sukabumi, West Java, Wednesday, to review first-hand the preparations in place to reopen schools from Monday (July 13).

During the visit, Vice President Amin will observe the readiness of SMAN 4, Sukabumi City, to apply health protocols when face-to-face teaching and learning activities restart in the school on July 13 after Sukabumi City was designated as a green zone for COVID-19 transmission.

SMAN 4, Sukabumi City, will become a model in conducting face-to-face teaching and learning activities at schools while adapting to a new normal order in order to stay safe from the transmission of a new type of corona virus (SARS-CoV-2).

After observing preparations at the school, the vice president will receive updates from Sukabumi Mayor Achmad Fahmi at the City Hall pertaining to the handling of the COVID-19 pandemic in Sukabumi City and the Sukabumi Restore Program.

Before returning to Jakarta, the vice president will close a series of activities in Sukabumi by inspecting the Assobariyyah Islamic Boarding School.

During the visit to Sukabumi, Amin was accompanied by Religious Affairs Minister Fachrul Razi and Minister of Education and Culture Nadiem Makarim.
