Jakarta (ANTARA) - President Joko Widodo on Monday stressed that he would monitor the improvements and breakthroughs made by each ministry and agency covered by the investigative report (LHP) on the 2019 State Financial Statement (LKPP).

"I will continue to monitor what improvements have been taken by ministers and heads of institutions. The improvement steps must be concrete," the President while receiving the results of the 2019 Central Government Financial Report (LKPP) at the Merdeka Palace in Jakarta.

The President said he is grateful that for four consecutive years, 2016-2019, the Supreme Audit Agency (BPK) has accorded a Fair Without Exception (WTP) opinion, the highest audit grade, to the 2019 State Financial Statement (LKPP).

The number of entities that have received WTP has also increased from 82 in 2018 to 85 in 2019, he revealed.

"I ask all heads of ministries and institutions to make the results of this inspection a parameter for improvement, reform, and change in the management of the state budget," he stated.

The President asked ministries and institutions obtaining the Fair Without Exception (WTP) opinion "to maintain their performance, but continue to reform".

Meanwhile, those who have not done well can start fixing things immediately, he remarked.

"And for ministries and institutions that still get a fair opinion with exceptions, (I would tell them -) do not state opinions or disclaimers; so that as soon as possible, (they can) make improvements, breakthroughs, and (take) significant steps," he explained.
