Jambi (ANTARA) - The price of crude palm oil (CPO) in Jambi Province rose slightly by Rp64 per kilogram (kg) to Rp8,809 per kg during the August 21-27 period, from Rp8,745 per kg in the previous period.

According to the formulating team, the price of palm kernel increased by Rp20 per kg to Rp4,263 per kg, from Rp4,243 per kg, while the price of fresh fruit bunches also rose by Rp10 per kg to Rp1,485 per kg, from Rp1,475 per kg, the province's fresh fruit bunches pricing official Putri Rainun stated here on Saturday.

The prices of crude palm oil, palm kernel, and fresh fruit bunches continued to increase in the past few weeks. The prices also rose this week on the basis of a decision reached by the CPO pricing team, farmers and palm oil plantation companies, and relevant parties.

Fresh fruit bunches for three-year planting were priced at Rp1,485 per kg for this period, Rp4,571 per kg for four-year planting, Rp1,645 per kg for five-year planting, Rp1,714 per kg for six-year planting, and Rp1,758 per kg for seven-year planting.
