"I will follow up on the anti-corruption actions taken from time to time."
Jakarta (ANTARA) - President Joko Widodo emphasized that he would constantly keep abreast of all the undertaken corruption eradication efforts.

"I will follow up on the anti-corruption actions taken from time to time," the head of state noted in his virtual address to the National Action for Corruption Eradication at the Bogor Presidential Palace in West Java on Wednesday.

As per his directives, the president highlighted three key agendas; first, streamlining national regulations; second, reforming bureaucracy; and third, campaigning for an anti-corruption culture in the public.

He pointed to the overlapping of several regulations, inability to offer legal certainty, presence of lengthy procedures, and no encouragement to officials and bureaucrats to make innovations.

"Let us implement together the three major agendas that I have conveyed, harbor similar visions, and harmonize our steps to build an effective, efficient, innovative, and corruption-free government," he stated.
