“We have prepared two sets of 80-kVA generators, one set of 25-kVA generator, and one set of 10-kVA generator," head of North Jakarta's workforce, transmigration, and energy office, Gatot Subroto, told local journalists on Tuesday.
The two sets of solar panels that the city administration has provided can generate 80 kVA and 10-25 kVA of power, he informed.
The North Jakarta city government has prepared mitigation measures to tackle any unwanted impact of flooding during the rainy season, he added.
On Monday morning, about 170 households in the Bidara Cina neighborhood of East Jakarta were flooded after the Ciliwung River overflowed following rains in Bogor, West Java province.
The floodwaters reached a height of 1.5 meters around 4.30 a.m. local time, according to Umar, 27, one of the local residents whose homes were submerged in the flooding.
Umar said the Ciliwung River normalization project needs to be continued to address the problem of recurrent flooding.
Bidara Cina neighborhood secretary Sri Mulyati noted that the floodwaters affected 170 households, though they began to recede on Monday morning.

Over 1,200 residents of East Jakarta's Kebon Pala area were also affected by flooding early on Monday after the Ciliwung River overflowed.
The floodwaters reached a height of over 1.5 meters before they began to recede around 7.30 a.m. local time, according to Jhony, 41, a resident of Kebon Pala.
The Jakarta Disaster Mitigation Agency (BPBD) reported on Sunday evening that the water level in Sunter Hulu River had touched 300 centimeters around 10 p.m. local time, exceeding its normal height of 150 centimeters.
The downpour in Bogor, West Java province, raised the volume of water in the Sunter Hulu River, located at the meeting point of Ciliwung River on Kebon Pala in the Kampung Melayu neighborhood, Jatinegara Sub-district, according to the agency.
Head of Kampung Melayu neighborhood, Setiawan, stated that the flooding affected about 1,264 residents from the RW04, RW05, RW06, RW07, and RW08 residential areas of Kebon Pala.
Early this year, flash floods, triggered by high-intensity rainfall over several days, had swamped several areas in 17 sub-districts of Jakarta and other sub-districts in the capital city's metropolitan areas, including Bekasi and Bogor.
At least 46 people died in the floods that also compelled 173,064 residents in Jakarta's greater areas to shift to safer ground, according to the National Disaster Mitigation Agency (BNPB).
