We have conducted rapid tests on all 1,192 people.Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Jakarta Metropolitan Police have conducted rapid tests on 1,192 demonstrators arrested following violent protests against the job creation law.
“We have conducted rapid tests on all 1,192 people,” chief of the public relations section of the Jakarta Metropolitan Police, Senior Commissioner Yusri Yunus, said here on Friday.
The detained demonstrators comprise senior high school students, university students, workers, and members of anarchic groups, he informed.

He said the police will summon the students’ parents and ask them to advise their children. They will also share short message texts that urged the students to participate in the violent rallies.
Yusri said 285 of the 1,192 demonstrators were allegedly involved in criminal acts.
Police are still investigating whether they resisted police officers, vandalized public facilities, and carried sharp-edged weapons, among other offenses.
