"A big dream on fair access to energy for people is materialized by making oil and gas not an exclusive commodity for those living in remote and isolated regions, as well as people from the low-income group," according to the 2020 annual report on the Jokowi-Ma'ruf administration obtained here on Tuesday.
The government has tasked state-owned oil company PT Pertamina with establishing distribution agencies in frontier, outermost, and least developed regions, often referred to as 3T, for the period from 2017 to September 2020.
Currently, the company has finalized the development of 172 one-price fuel stations in all outermost regions nationwide spread across the islands of Maluku, Papua, Kalimantan, Sulawesi, Sumatra, and Java, the report noted.

Pertamina has completed the development of 12 stations, of the target of 83 stations by end of the year.
The 12 stations comprise three in Papua; two each in Central Sulawesi, Maluku, North Maluku, and South Kalimantan; and one each in West Kalimantan Barat, North Sumatra, and West Nusa Tenggara.
The construction process for 56 stations is still underway, while the licensing process is ongoing for the remaining stations.
