Today, (the KPK)  is set to question witnesses  in the alleged case of corruption related to the construction of the Kingmi Mile 32 Church in Mimika District, Papua.
Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK), on Friday, summoned seven witnesses for questioning over allegations of corruption in the construction of the Kingmi Mile 32 Church in Mimika District, Papua Province.

"Today, (the KPK) is set to question witnesses in the alleged case of corruption related to construction of the Kingmi Mile 32 Church in Mimika District, Papua," acting spokesman for KPK Ali Fikri noted in a written statement released on Friday.

The seven witnesses include treasurer of the people's welfare section of the Mimika district secretariat for the 2015-2016 term Deassy Ceraldine and civil servant of the people's welfare section of the Mimika district secretariat for the 2015-2016 term Yulita Ada.

The others are PT Neweinemki director Anton Bukaleng, PT Nemangkawi Jaya director Alexander Omaleng, CV Kawanua Jaya director Kasman, administrative staff member of PT Kuala Persada Papua Nusantara Mardiyaningsih, and PT Swarna Bajapacific employee Taufik Hariswara.

Ali noted that in connection with the graft probe, the seven witnesses will be questioned at the Development Finance Comptroller (BPKP) building in Jayapura, the capital of Papua Province.

However, the anti-graft body has not named any suspects in the alleged graft case.

KPK investigators will make a public announcement after the suspects are arrested, he remarked.
