"We have managed to evacuate all four bodies, while two others are still missing," Zaenal Abidin, head of the Banten Basarnas (Search and Rescue Office), stated here on Friday.
The four miners identified as Oyan (30), Suhana (42), Asyura (45), and Yanto (30), were the residents of Babakan Tipar Village, Majasari, Sobang Sub-district, Lebak.
Two other miners -- Rudi (37) and Mahmudin (44) -- are still missing in the landslide triggered by incessant heavy rains on Saturday (Dec 5).
"We are optimistic of soon finding the two miners," he noted.
The victims were digging a hole in an illegal mining site on the slope of the Mount Halimun Salak National Park (TNGHS). (INE)
