On the sidelines of the review, the head of state also handed over several basic necessities, ready-to-eat food, and masks to numerous residents in the affected locations.
Head of Presidential Secretariat, Heru Budi Hartono, earlier noted that Jokowi had visited the flood-affected locations to review measures to handle the situation in Banjar where the disaster had inflicted damage to facilities and infrastructure.
Moreover, the president was scheduled to assess whether the basic requirements of displaced Banjar residents, currently being accommodated at evacuation sites, were being fulfilled.
"The president will review facilities affected (by the flooding), so that the PUPR ministry can immediately follow up on it. The president will also take into account other requirements crucial for (the displaced) residents," Hartono explained. (INE)
