Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK), Tuesday, summoned an employee of the Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) as witness in an alleged graft case on procurement of six roll mills at the Djatiroto sugar mill.

"Today, (the KPK) is scheduled to question a witness in the procurement and installation of six roll mills at the Djatiroto sugar mill owned by state plantation firm PT Perkebunan Nusantara XI during the 2015-2016 period. The witness, identified as Andri Ramdhan, is chief of the maritime meteorology information sub-division at the BMKG," acting spokesman for KPK Ali Fikri noted in a written statement released on Tuesday.

The KPK is investigating the alleged graft case at the sugar mill.

However, in accordance with the policy of the KPK leadership, the anti-graft body could not as yet make public who is involved in the case, he revealed.

Fikri noted that the public will be informed about the case reconstruction and suspects after forced action is taken, including the arrest and detention of the suspects.

The KPK has ensured that it will announce each development in the handling of the case, he stated.

On Friday, Jan 29, 2021, the KPK had summoned PTPN XI corporate secretary Agus Priambodo as witness in the case.
