"The wounded residents have received treatment at the local community health center (puskesmas). The landslide caused heavy damage to eight houses," BNPB spokesman Raditya Jati noted in a statement here on Monday.
The landslide was triggered by incessant heavy rains on Sunday evening, he remarked.
A search and rescue team comprising personnel of the Nganjuk disaster mitigation office (BPBD Nganjuk), police and military officers, as well as volunteers looked for the missing people and attempted to evacuate the landslide victims.
"The local BPBD continues to conduct post-disaster monitoring and rapid assessments on the field," he stated.

Meanwhile, Pasuruan District was hit by flooding at 23:50 local time on Sunday, he remarked.
The flooding was triggered by downpour that caused the Kedunglarangan River in Bangli and the Rejoso River in Winongan and Grati to overflow their banks.
"Several villages are affected in the three sub-districts of the Satak, Tambaka, Kalianyar, Kalirejo, and Masangan villages (in Bangli Sub-district); Bandaran and Prodo Villages (Winongan Sub-district); and Kebrukan Village (in Grati Sub-district)," he stated.
The flooding compelled 357 people to take refuge at mosques and a local kindergarten building.
"Hundreds of houses were affected, with floodwaters reaching a height of up to 70 centimeters. The BPBD and other related elements have made emergency response efforts to assist the affected communities," Jati remarked.
