"Vaccination for civil servants at the Social Affairs Ministry is like a gift for us, who are struggling to handle the pandemic through the distribution of social assistance. We thank the Health Ministry," Head of the COVID-19 Handling Tasikmalaya Force at the ministry, Sonny W., remarked after monitoring the vaccination activities here on Tuesday.
He noted that senior high-ranking officials, special staff for ministers, as well as the minister's technical team and Pratama's high-ranking officials had attended the vaccination.
In addition, employees at the Secretariat General unit, Inspectorate General, Directorate General of Social Protection and Security, and Directorate General of Social Empowerment were inoculated.
The COVID-19 vaccination will be conducted until Wednesday and will continue with the work units of the Directorate General of Social Rehabilitation, Education, Training and Social Counseling Agency, Directorate General of Poor Management, as well as the Integrated Service Unit at the Directorate General of Social Rehabilitation in DKI Jakarta and Bekasi regions.
COVID-19 vaccination at the ministry is being conducted in collaboration with the Ciputra Hospital Citra Garden City and DKI Jakarta Health Office, and the attendees comprised officials from the Health Ministry and the DKI Jakarta Provincial Health Social Security Administration (BPJS).
One of the civil servants from the work unit at the Ministry of Social Affairs Bureau of Public Relations, Resti, voiced her aspirations on being vaccinated amid rampant unclear information regarding the COVID-19 vaccine.
Resti expressed belief that before being vaccinated, the people should first undergo screenings, comprising getting their body temperature checked and furnish details about their medical history. With the vaccination activities underway, she expects the COVID-19 pandemic to be overcome soon and that all Indonesians can conduct normal activities.
