The nine people comprised five church officers and four worshipers, Chief of the South Sulawesi Provincial Police Inspector General Merdisyam said.
The five injured have been taken to Stella Maris Hospital, Pelamonia Hospital, and Bhayangkara Police Hospital for treatment, he said.
Based on the preliminary data, one person believed to be the suicide bomber was killed in the bomb attack, he said.
