Jakarta (ANTARA) - A total of 78,924 COVID-19 patients treated at the COVID-19 Emergency Hospital (RSDC) Wisma Atlet Kemayoran in Central Jakarta have made a recovery.

“As many as 809 patients were referred (to other hospitals), and 87 patients died,” Head of Information at the Joint Defense Area I Command Marine Colonel Aris Mudian stated here on Wednesday.

Of the total 1,424 patients hospitalized, 690 patients were males and 734 patients were females. The figure declined by 22, from 1,446 patients recorded earlier.

“All inpatients are treated at towers four, five, six, and seven,” he revealed.

Wisma Atlet has offered treatment to a total of 81,244 patients from March 23, 2020, to April 28, 2021. Meanwhile, 79,820 patients have been discharged.

Mudian also reported on the updated data on patients at the Special Hospital for Infection (RSKI) Galang Island, Riau Islands.

Of the total 297 patients hospitalized, 91 were males and 206 were females, with 297 confirmed patients and no suspected patients.

The RSKI Galang Island offered treatment to 13,146 patients, of which 12,849 people returned home, 42 people were referred to other hospitals, and 5,510 people recovered, while the number of patients suspected to have COVID-19 or those who had completed treatment reached 7,297 people.
