The vice president also urged all new officers to always come up with new ideas in order to realize positive changes and boost the efficiency of services to the community
Jakarta (ANTARA) - Vice President Ma'ruf Amin inaugurated newly-graduated civil servants of the Institute of Public Administration (IPDN) for 2021 at an event attended offline by six representatives at the Vice President's Palace in Jakarta, Tuesday.

"I congratulate you on your inauguration as young pamong praja (civil servants). I am proud to appoint all of you as young officers and future leaders of Indonesia," Amin stated at the Vice President's Palace, Jakarta.

Amin noted that the inauguration of IPDN young civil servants for the year 2021 was akin to the 2020 inauguration, which was conducted both offline and online due to the COVID-19 pandemic conditions.

The inauguration at the Vice President's Palace was only attended by six IPDN graduates of year 2021 as representatives of religion and the best graduates.

"Currently, the COVID-19 pandemic is ongoing, so we do not perform face-to-face ceremonies at IPDN's Jatinangor Campus, Sumedang District, West Java, but at the Vice President's Palace, both offline and online," Amin remarked.

The vice president advised all IPDN graduates to start their assignment and service to the country as well as manifest high integrity and innovation.

"Prioritize honesty, morality, and bureaucratic ethics, and do not get caught up in the routine in which you will work," Amin stated.

The Vice President also urged all new officers to always come up with new ideas in order to realize positive changes and boost the efficiency of services to the community.

Meanwhile, Minister of Home Affairs Tito Karnavian stated at the Jakarta Vice President's Palace that 1,529 IPDN graduates for the year 2021 had graduated during an online event on Saturday, July 31, at the IPDN Jatinangor Campus.

After the inauguration, Karnavian noted that the new officers were ready to start services in all provinces, districts, and cities in Indonesia.

"These new officer candidates, after being inaugurated by the vice president, will begin their service and devotion to the nation and the Indonesian government through the provincial government and the district/city government throughout Indonesia," the minister emphasized.

Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal, and Security Affairs Mahfud MD was also present at the Vice President's Palace.
