Jakarta (ANTARA) - At least 4,030,090 candidates have applied for the recruitment of civil servant candidates (CASN) which closed on Monday night (July 26, 2021), State Apparatus and Bureaucratic Reform Minister Tjahjo Kumolo has informed.

"The number of candidates who completed registration until last night's closing was 4,030,090 participants," Kumolo told ANTARA in Jakarta on Tuesday.

There were 3,033,455 candidates for CASN, 921,361 candidates for teachers under Contract-based Government Employees (PPPK) teachers and 75,337 candidates for non-teacher PPPK, he said.

Kumolo informed that the number of applicants who filled out the registration forms stood at 4,542,134. However, 4,030,090 applicants submitted the forms, he added.

Of the total applicants, 2,200,473 were deemed eligible, 449,002 were ineligible and 1,380,615 have not been verified, he said.

The civil service registration was opened online through the CASN Selection System (SSCASN) portal from June 30 to July 26, 2021. The registration period was, however, extended beyond July 21, the original deadline, Kumolo added.

Earlier, acting head of public relations, Law and Cooperation Bureau, National Civil Service Agency (BKN), Paryono had said that the entire selection process was scheduled to end in February, 2022.

The selection process will be finalized when BKN determines and gives the staff registration number (NIK) to the accepted applicants, he informed.

A total of 568 government agencies opened the civil servant selection formation in 2021. They comprise 55 central agencies, 33 provincial government agencies, and 480 district and municipal government agencies.

The SSCASN portal has been integrated with a number of databases: the National Identification Number (NIK) of the Ministry of Home Affairs; Data of Non-Staff-Apparatus Teachers and Teacher Professional Education graduates of the Ministry of Research and Technology; Category 2 non-tenured personnel of BKN; Accreditation of Study Programs, Universities, and Higher Education Institutions of the Research Ministry; and Registration Certificate (STR) for health workers.
