The creation of quality human resources in BATAN is executed through the implementation of research activities, training, certification, and education, he pointed out.
Jakarta (ANTARA) - Celebrations of the 76th Anniversary of Indonesia’s independence should be replete with the results of excellent research and innovation for an advanced and prosperous Indonesian society, according to the National Atomic Energy Agency (BATAN).

"Every time we commemorate Independence Day, we always remember the goal of independence, which is a prosperous society. Hence, BATAN, through the Nuclear vision for Indonesia's Competitiveness and Prosperity, marks this day with continuous efforts to contribute to national development through innovation in research in several fields," Head of BATAN Anhar Riza Angkasawan remarked when contacted by ANTARA here on Tuesday.

Angkasawan believes that the spirit of making the most in the field of science and technology should always endure in every Indonesian research and innovation.

The BATAN head believes that the spirit can be ignited by drawing attention to the nuclear challenges faced by Indonesia.

"We apply the Golden Indonesia 2045 vision to drive the spirits of young people in BATAN, reminding them that they are the ones who will play a role in continuing the nuclear vision for an Advanced Indonesia," he highlighted.

Angkasawan explained that all human resources in the field of science and technology, including researchers, engineers, and developers of nuclear technology, must interpret the independence of Indonesia as an opportunity to realize a science-based society and development based not only on natural resources but also on humanity.

Quality human resources can be developed in BATAN through the implementation of research activities, training, certification, and education, he affirmed.

In an effort to develop the latest technology, Angkasawan noted that BATAN had striven to conduct research and innovation in each field that suits the users' needs.

To this end, he noted that BATAN had bolstered endeavors to expand and strengthen collaboration with various institutions, both domestically and abroad.

"BATAN's active participation in the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) and other forms of international and regional cooperation are also beneficial to produce the latest flagship innovations," he stated.
