Jakarta (ANTARA) - Some Rp320.35 trillion (US$23 billion) of the national economic recovery budget, or 43 percent of the budgeted Rp744.77 trillion (US$53 billion) was realized until Aug 13, Finance Ministry's Fiscal Policy Agency Head Febrio Kacaribu stated.

"For the 2021 national economic recovery program, we have made adjustment in early July, especially with the enforcement of PPKM (Community Activities Restriction) level 4 and 3 in Java and Bali," Kacaribu noted during a virtual discussion here on Wednesday.

Some Rp76.64 trillion, or 34.7 percent of the Rp214.96-trillion budget in the health sector had been channelled for COVID-19 diagnoses, including testing and tracing, treatment for 426.94 thousand patients, incentives for health workers, death compensation, medicines and personal protection equipment provision, he elaborated.

It also covered budget for provision of 81.42 million COVID-19 vaccine doses, health insurance subsidy for 19.15 million people, and tax incentives for the health sector, including vaccine import tax.

In the social protection sector, Kacaribu noted that budget realization had reached 97.18 trillion, or 52.1 percent of the Rp186.64-trillion budget in the sector, that covers the Family Hope Program (PKH) for 9.9 million beneficiaries, basic needs card for 16 million beneficiaries, cash transfer for 10 million families, and village cash transfer for 5.5 million families.

It also includes Pre-employment Card for 2.82 million people, internet quota assistance for 35.95 million beneficiaries, electricity subsidy for 32.6 million beneficiaries, and wage subsidy program for 948 thousand receivers.

Budget for support to micro, small, and medium scale enterprises (MSMEs) that reached Rp162.4 trillion has been channelled 29.6 percent, or some Rp48 trillion, Kacaribu remarked.

Pertaining to state funds placed in state-owned banks, the total loan disbursement from the funding since 2020 had reached Rp416.18 trillion for 5.3 million debtors and subsidy of micro loans (KUR) as well as non-KUR rates for 4.45 million debtors.

Meanwhile, some Rp49.39 trillion, or 41.9 percent of the Rp117.94 trillion budgeted for priority programs was realized.

This included the funding channelled for the labor-intensive program, tourism sector, food estate program, and development of irrigation, Kacaribu stated.
