Vaccination for students and university students had grown increasingly important as the face-to-face learning agenda was going to be applied again. To this end, Pfizer's vaccine would be used in the vaccination program, she stated in Tangerang on Saturday.
Some schools and universities had proposed the list of students to be vaccinated. Following the proposal, a schedule to administer the vaccine to them had been set by the Health Office.
Tangerang Mayor Arief R. Wismansyah remarked that the dissemination of information regarding COVID-19 vaccination for high school or vocational high school students and university students had been delivered through a coordination meeting attended by principals and chancellors.

Vaccination programs for educators and students that had been conducted intensively by the Tangerang city government were part of the efforts to prepare for face-to-face learning.
"Vaccination for high school and vocational students as well as college students will be conducted from next week. The priority is those who study in Tangerang City, although their identity cards are not (registered as) Tangerang City residents," he elaborated.
The mayor remarked that limited face-to-face learning or distance learning has been stipulated as methods to study in the latest regulations laid out in the public activity restriction policy.
The decision was based on the Joint Decree of the Education and Culture Minister, Religious Affairs Minister, Health Minister and Home Affairs Minister Number 03/KB/202l, Number 384 of 2021, Number HK.01.08/MENKES/4242/2021, Number 440-717 of 2021 concerning Guidelines to Learning Process Implementation during the 2019 Coronavirus Disease (COVID-19) Pandemic Period.
