This will certainly become our habit in the futureBekasi, West Java (ANTARA) - The PeduliLindungi application will become a part of people's life, National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo said and urged people to get vaccinated so that daily activities can be eased amid the pandemic.
"This will certainly become our habit in the future. For people to be able to carry out activities, at least they have to be vaccinated," Prabowo observed while reviewing mass vaccinations organized by the 1995 Police Academy Alumni on Friday.
Later, he said the government is evaluating daily COVID-19 cases on a weekly basis and conducting assessments to relax PPKM in areas where the number of cases is declining.
The easing of restrictions on community activities is to maintain the economic situation in respective regions, he informed.
However, this easing must be accompanied by the implementation of health protocols so that the number of positive cases of COVID-19 does not increase, he reiterated.
In addition to the health protocols, the PeduliLindungi application will also support efforts to limit people's activities, especially in economic places, and ensure that people are protected by vaccination through the data on the app, Prabowo said.
"The PeduliLindungi application will be installed in economic places such as shopping centers so that people can scan the barcode through the app, which will check whether they have been vaccinated or not," he added.
People who have been vaccinated will get a barcode that can be used when accessing shopping places, shops, and markets through the PeduliLindungi application, Pabowo informed.
People who have been vaccinated can show the barcode when they enter stores, supermarkets, or enter places where the PeduliLindungi application is installed, he said.
Once the barcode is scanned, a notification will appear for people who have been vaccinated, while those who have not been vaccinated will be asked to return or not be allowed to enter, he added.
"This is one of the future activities that must always be attached to the community in order to maintain the daily cases of COVID-19. On the one hand, by easing community mobility, our economy could bounce back," Prabowo said.
Therefore, the former Banten police chief invited the public to get vaccinated at the vaccine booths organized by TNI/Polri.
"With vaccination, people's immunity will increase, then they can start to have more activities again," Prabowo said.
