"We continue to push for accelerating infrastructure preparations. We coordinate with ministries for speeding up preparations in Mandalika, including for the WSBK and MotoGP events," the coordinating ministry's creative economy development assistant deputy, Sartin Hia, told ANTARA here on Friday.
Hia remarked that construction of the circuit was complete, and the government was pursuing vaccination within the region.
This is since a 70-percent vaccination rate was a prerequisite for successfully holding international events in West Nusa Tenggara, such as the World Superbike and MotoGP at the Mandalika Circuit.

Hia assessed that Mandalika had a special appeal to be included in the 88 National Tourism Strategic Regions (KSPN) to make the region a super-priority tourism destination.
On Nov 12-14, 2021, the Mandalika Circuit will be the venue for the WSBK season's closer series before becoming the test arena for MotoGP's pre-season on Feb 11-13, 2022.
The 4.31-kilometer-long asphalt track was constructed in mid-August. The Mandalika Grand Prix Association (MGPA), as the promotor of Grand Prix Mandalika, still has some pending work for completing the supporting elements, such as the inner and outer guardrails as well as compliance of medical workers and marshal to the FIM standard.
The Mandalika Circuit measures a length of 4.31 kilometers with 17 corners and a paddock area that can hold 40 garages.
Meanwhile, the capacity of the main sitting tribune can reach more than 50 thousand, while its standing tribune can hold 138 thousand people.
The vaccination rate in West Nusa Tenggara remains low, only reaching 20 percent. Vaccination has to be accelerated in order to reach 70 percent.
