Arumsari bagged a gold medal in the Papua PON after scoring three points above West Java athlete Risya Gunawan, who recorded a score of 453.
"Later, the world championship and SEA Games will be held. Of course, my target is to maintain the position as a winner," Arumsari stated at the Toware Sports Hall, here Monday.
Arumsari noted that the world pencak silat championship was scheduled to be held in Malaysia at the end of 2021. Meanwhile, she pointed to the absence of a definite schedule for the SEA Games to be held in Vietnam.
"As long as I can contribute to pencak silat and be trusted by Jakarta and the national teams, I will do my best," she affirmed.

The Asian Games' gold medalist affirmed that the COVID-19 pandemic, ongoing for almost two years, had impacted her training.
"Of course, it (COVID-19 pandemic) has affected my training. Moreover, for the last two years, we have not had a competition," she remarked.
Arumsari noted that athletes also reduced the intensity of their training on account of no events during the COVID-19 pandemic. However, it is essential to bear in mind that regardless of whether a championship is or isn’t held, training is still deemed necessary, especially to stay fit, according to Arumsari.
The XX PON 2021 is being held on Oct 2-15, 2021. At least 6,400 athletes and 3,500 officials from 34 provinces across Indonesia are participating in the National Games that features 37 sports.
