Jakarta (ANTARA) - The South Jakarta city government is ready to reopen 15 green open spaces (RTH) in its area for the general public after the adjustment of the second level of Community Activity Restrictions (PPKM) in Jakarta.

Head of the City Parks and Forest Service, Winarto, stated that visitors at the 15 RTH are required to show a proof of vaccination of at least the first dose.

"In South Jakarta, 15 green open space parks are ready to open with health protocol requirements in place, starting from October 23. There is only one access for entrance and exit with stand-by officers," Winarto told ANTARA on Friday.

The 15 RTH that are ready to be open comprised Ragunan Zoo, Puring Park, Langsat Park, Ayodya Park, and Campground Park in Pasar Minggu.

Furthermore, Srengseng Sawah City Forest, Spathodea Park, Tabebuya Park, Kebagusan I Park, Central Gandaria Park, Swadarma Park, Sriwijaya Park, TMB Panjang, Ciganjur Nursery, and Casamora Nursery in Jagakarsa will also opened.

Winarto later emphasized that with the opening of the 15 RTH, visitors must implement strict health protocols as a precautionary measure against the spread of COVID-19.

"The number of visitors is also limited to a maximum of 25 percent of the park's capacity," he pointed out.

Visitors under the age of 12 must also be accompanied by a vaccinated parent while visiting the park.

"They should at least be vaccinated with the first dose of vaccine. We are still working on the PeduliLindungi application bar code. However, a vaccine certificate is mandatory to be shown at the entrance gate," he emphasized.

Additional officers will be deployed at each park to monitor the implementation of health protocols and also to cater to the requirements of visitors.

"Before the park opened, there were only two officers. Now, we have to place at least four people to guard the park," he remarked.
