Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Special Task Force for Upstream Oil and Gas Business Activities (SKK Migas) will hold an international convention on the upstream oil and gas business from November 29 to December 1, 2021.

SKK Migas, in its statement obtained here on Thursday, noted that the convention was aimed at attracting investment, identifying innovative solutions to cope with the low carbon initiative and energy transition, and developing collaboration between investors and stakeholders.

In addition, the event will serve as a forum to disseminate information on the 10 main pillars of the Indonesia Oil and Gas (IOG) 4.0 and as a mark of appreciation for the achievements in the upstream oil and gas industry.

The IOG convention is one of SKK Migas' efforts to ensure the realization of the production target of one million barrels of oil per day (bopd) and 12 billion standard cubic feet per day (bscfd) of natural gas by 2030.

Last year, some 12 thousand participants from 57 countries partook in the first IOG convention held virtually.

The number of participants at the 2021 convention is expected to double, it stated.

The IOG convention will deliver 12 keynotes and panels, 25 concurrent forums, with more than 120 speakers, and awards for 18 contractors of cooperation contract (KKKS).

The keynote speakers comprised Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan, Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto, Energy and Mineral Resources Minister Arifin Tasrif, and Finance Minister Sri Mulyani.
