PIDI 4.0 is a showcase to demonstrate how technology can create efficiency and increase productivity in the production line.Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Industry Ministry has launched the Center for Indonesia Digital Industry 4.0 (PIDI 4.0) as a one-stop solution for the adoption of Industry 4.0 in Indonesia and a window on Indonesia 4.0 to the world.
"Alhamdulillah (praise be to God), despite the delay (in the launch) due to the pandemic, finally, we can launch the facility," Industry Minister Agus Gumiwang Kartasasmita stated at the virtual launch here on Thursday.
The minister presented the Startup4Industry Award at the event, also attended by Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto, who initiated the PIDI 4.0 development in Indonesia.
Kartasasmita expounded that PIDI 4.0 will have five pillars, with the first being conceptual design for showcase.
"PIDI 4.0 is a showcase to demonstrate how technology can create efficiency and increase productivity in the production line. This showcase is specifically directed at the food and beverage and automotive industries from the tier 1 industry in Indonesia," he stated.
