Start doing business. Dare to be young creative entrepreneurs and be smart in looking for and utilizing opportunities
Jakarta (ANTARA) - Special Staff of the Law and Human Rights Ministry Bane Raja Manalu has called on university students, especially those in Nommensen HKBP University, to be more courageous in opening entrepreneurial opportunities.

"Start doing business. Dare to be young creative entrepreneurs and be smart in looking for and utilizing opportunities," he said in a statement here on Sunday.

Businesses should have entity, legality, and legal basis to expand the opportunity, to grow and develop, he explained.

The government has made it easy for entrepreneurs, including in the Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) sector, to establish private companies.

As of December 6, 2021, the number of private enterprises in the country had reached 6,108. This is thanks to the facilities provided by the government to form private enterprises.

The facilities include no minimal capital requirement, no minimal employee requirement, and tax break for MSMEs with revenue under Rp500 million.

Establishing private companies could expand entrepreneurs' opportunities in receiving capital access from banks, Manalu informed.

The opportunity to do business rises along with the increasing utilization of digital technology that allows entrepreneurs to market their products anywhere and anytime, he said.

"This is the era of the Internet of everything. Pandemic does not kill digital businesses. Pandemic allows digital business to grow," he noted.

Meanwhile, the Rector of Pematangsiantar's Nommensen HKBP University, Sanggam Siahaan, welcomed the material delivered by Manalu to university students.

According to Siahaan, insights regarding digital business and law are relevant for university students and they could apply them in the future.

"It is a very good material and I hope that it could be done by the students. They could spark creativity in business by utilizing digital technology," he said.
