The First Lady conveyed the statement in a video of the Solidarity Action Organization of the Advanced Indonesian Cabinet Era (OASE KIM) on Mother's Day broadcast through the Presidential Secretariat's YouTube channel here on Wednesday.
Konco Wingking is a Javanese term for a situation similar to patriarchy, wherein a wife's position in a household is considered rather lower than that of the husband.

"It is a good momentum to showcase that Indonesian women should be able to contribute to the country smartly and not only position themselves behind their husbands," the First Lady explained.
In connection with some women that have successfully stepped out to appear in the spotlight, Widodo pointed out, for instance, a woman who became the chief of RT (neighborhood unit) and some who hold several political positions, and one who became the president.
According to the First Lady, Mother's Day is a very special day.
Meanwhile, the wife of Indonesian Vice President Ma'ruf Amin, Wury, said Mother's Day is a unique day, as women’s level in society is enhanced.
"It is very special, Mrs. Widodo. Be happy, the class of women is raised on this Mother's Day. It is an honor," the Second Lady added.
The OASE KIM’s video was hosted by Deddy Mahendra Desta and Hesti Purwadinata. The two hosts discussed Mother's Day and some OASE KIM’s activities with Widodo and Amin.
Purwadinata then posed a question to Amin regarding his romanticism while wishing her a happy Mother's Day.
However, Widodo instead chose to answer the question, saying that the vice president is romantic with his wife.
Meanwhile, Mrs Amin said the romance between her and her husband was like the relationship between a husband and a wife.
The video also presents OASE KIM board members, such as the chairwoman, secretary, and sub-heads. It said, members of the organization mostly involve the wives of the ministers in the cabinet.
OASE KIM is an organization initiated by the First Lady.
