This has been done by employing new habits, which is the new normal work patternJakarta (ANTARA) - The COVID-19 pandemic has driven people to work and think extraordinarily, Law and Human Rights Minister Yasonna Hamonangan Laoly stated.
"This has been done by employing new habits, which is the new normal work pattern," Laoly noted here on Wednesday.
Over time, some of the current habits would become a daily routine. For instance, meetings at ministries and agencies will be hosted virtually.
The same will also reflect globally and not just in Indonesia. On account of this, the development and applications pertaining to virtual meetings must be improved in a continued manner.

The minister acknowledges both pros and cons in the use of technology in his work. However, it can be a form of reinforcement in serving the community.
Laoly admitted to personally having attended several international meetings, yet he was not required to directly visit the country that hosted the event, as he simply attended via virtual meetings.
"Hence, the Law and Human Rights Ministry must be adaptive to follow this work pattern," he remarked.
Laoly noted that in 2021, the ministry had conducted several digital transformations in various public services they had provided, which included office administration.

The COVID-19 pandemic that struck Indonesia almost two years back has drastically changed the way people lead their lives. In order to suppress the infection and mortality rates, the government has been making all-out efforts to vaccinate citizens; imposing health protocols comprising social distancing, thereby leading to the increased usage of technology to interact, and expediting testing and tracing to find more COVID-19 suspects.
As of now, the government has urged the public to not spend their vacation overseas, as a measure to avoid the surfacing of more cases of the Omicron variant found recently in Indonesia.
